From Fear to Passion: My Story
My name is Marianna Krenarová, and I am a aviation photographer based in Bratislava. However, my journey into the world of cockpits and runways was not a straightforward one. At the very beginning, there was deep respect—or more accurately, a fear of flying.
Everything changed when I discovered an aviation podcast, which I listened to regularly for about two years. It gradually helped me overcome my anxiety, replacing it with a profound fascination for everything connected to aviation. When I finally took my first flight, the fear completely vanished, replaced by pure awe. Flying captivated me instantly and became my new passion.
It did not take long for a natural question to arise: how could I get closer to this fascinating world? The answer was photography. Seeing the first successful shots I captured with my smartphone, I decided to take it to the next level and invested in professional camera gear.
Shaping MK Aviation Photography
My first photographic steps led me to the viewing platform at Bratislava Airport. However, the turning point came at Aeroklub Partizánske, where I got my first official opportunity to shoot an aviation event directly on the tarmac. That was the moment my true artistic identity was born. What started at the end of June 2026 as a new hobby incredibly quickly transformed into a full-time profession.
Today, under the brand MK Aviation Photography, I capture the beauty and dynamics of aviation in all its forms. Although large commercial airliners are my biggest passion, I document the world of general aviation (GA) and club flying with equal enthusiasm.
My Approach and Philosophy
In my work, I place ultimate emphasis on sharpness, detail, and precise post-processing. I do not just look at the bigger picture; I seek out the unique lines and details that make each aircraft special. My goal is to deliver clean, visually striking images that preserve the authentic atmosphere of the moment while respecting the aircraft's distinct character.
Thanks to this uncompromising focus on detail, my work quickly caught the attention of the aviation community. Today, I proudly collaborate with the Slovak National Aeroclub, providing photography services and creating engaging video content.
